Forensic Psychology Services include all evaluation and treatment services requested by, or provided for, the courts. Frequently, psychologists are appointed by the court, or retained by clients and their
attorneys to provide evaluation, treatment,and/or expert witness testimony in matters before the court. The forensic psychologist provides specialized clinical services in the context of, and with full understanding
of, relevant case law, statutes, and court decisions. The forensic psychologist may offer opinions based on scientific, technical, or specialized knowledge in order to assist the court in understanding evidence or
determining facts.
